How long time will it
take?
The float session lasts about 45 minutes but total time is 75
minutes since we feel it's important for you not to rush away after your float.
My skin, will it
wrinkle?
No. What causes wrinkling is that some salt from skin is drawn
out. Because the water contains high salt levels it doesn't remove salt from your skin Instead, it leaves your skin
soft and silky.
Is floating successful for
everyone?
No. It needs a willingness from the floaters part to let go and
see what happens, and you may need to float a few times before you are able to relax totally physical and mental.
Depending on your own journey through life, a float might provide 45 minutes of total physical relaxation - or a
profound healing experience, emotionally and spiritually transforming. Floating can be a wonderful aid to opening
doors into your inner world, gradually allowing access to those deeper levels at which real changes take
place.
What is floating in a float
tank?
As explained by scientist; “Floating is a method of attaining
the deepest rest that humankind almost has ever experienced.” Basically, it’s spending 45 minutes lying quietly in
the dark, suspended in a warm solution of water with 40% Epsom salt. The solution is 25cm deep and so thick that
you without effort float. You can play some gentle music into the float tank to help you relax. The summary is
complete mental and physical relaxation
Can I get claustrophobic in a float
tank?
Anyone who floats regularly will tell you how wonderfully
comfortable and deeply relaxed they feel when they float. You have an experience of weightlessness, and
surprisingly there is little feeling of being restricted in a tight space because the Restingwell Sprit uses the
space inside. Spirit have an internal light and are easy to get in and out of as it has its doorway on the long
side of the floatingtank instead of on short side.
What effects does floating have on my
mind?
During a floating session, you produce slower brain-waves
patterns; know as Theta waves, (normally experienced only during deep meditation or just before falling asleep).
The body’s natural opiates endorphins are released. This is naturally making creative thoughts, vivid thoughts,
sudden insights and inspirations or feelings of profound peace and joy. Because of these effects, floating tanks
are used effectively in the treatment of depression and addictions, including smoking and alcohol. It is also used
as a tool for super learning.
If I'm afraid before I use the tank the
first time?
Your fears may be of darkness, claustrophobia, turning over,
air volume, being alone, or being out of control in a new situation. There are lamps inside if you like to use it.
People who say they are claustrophobic assume that they will be confined in an enclosed space. The inside of the
tank is very large, 1,2m (3'11")high, 1,4m (4'7")wide and 2,3m (7'7")long and you can´t reach for example the roof
inside lying on your back and you can easily sit up with no problem at all. It's impossible to turn your body
without using a lot of force and even then is it difficult. The floatation tank is ventilated all the time. The
doors are not locked, easy to open even with your fingernail if you like.
Disorientation?
The floater knows that the tank door can be opened at any time
one chooses. It is safe to fall asleep in the tank. Even people, who report they never sleep on their backs in bed,
sleeps floating on their backs in the tank. The tank is designed to supply air that is constantly renewed
ventilation system.
Clean water?
The water is filtered in the morning and after each floater and
sterilized by the use of an UV filtering system and also is H2O2 added. The water is kept very clean, and there are
fewer bacteria in the tank than in your drinking water. But don't taste it, Epsom salt is also called bitter
salt.
Silence?
The tank is not completely soundproof. Using earplugs and
having your ears underwater eliminates most of your hearing. Inside the floatationtank are speakers used if you
like to have music, hypnotising tapes or even language courses.
The First float can be the hardest
float?
It may take a few minutes to acclimate to a stress free
environment. Your mind may chatter endlessly. It will be enormously peaceful and even boring. It doesn't matter,
the experience will still take place.
Relaxing brain?
Time in sensory isolation is what allows the mind to rest. The
brain will relax and it’s a good time for meditation. The more motionless you are in the tank the more will the
body’s awareness disappear. The brain is not used to sensory reduction so the mind tries to control
three-dimensional reality. Since there is no sound, the mind will look for sound and amplify whatever it hears
(heartbeat, breathing).
Self-exploration?
Enjoy the sensation, relax, breathe, and let go. Floating
begins your journey into Self-exploration, relaxation, health, wellness, and discovery. Your flotation experience
continues even after the floating session. Your brains learn how to enjoy
relaxation.
